How to Bake Beef Ribs

Beef ribs refer to the portions of chops that contain more bones and less meat. These are commonly used when preparing barbecue dishes. Aside from grilling, another way of cooking this meat cut is by baking. To be sure that you will retain the natural flavor of the chops, it is important to learn how to bake beef ribs perfectly. Recommended Baking Time and Temperature

To retain the juices of the meat, it is beneficial to know the recommended baking time and temperature for the ribs. When baking the meat, make sure that the temperature ranges from 200 degrees Fahrenheit to 400 degrees Fahrenheit to avoid the meat from being overcooked. As you increase the temperature, remember to shorten the baking time. For instance, if you plan to bake the meat in 200 degrees Fahrenheit, you can let it stay inside the oven for two hours to four hours. However, if you will cook the meat in an oven that was preheated to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, the recommended time is within 45 minutes to an hour.

Baked Barbecue Beef Short Ribs

This recipe can help you prepare and serve a delectable dish at home. To make the dish, you need a cup of ketchup, ¼ cup finely chopped onion, two teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, two drops of Tabasco sauce and 1 ½ teaspoon salt. Additionally, you need ¼ cup packed brown sugar, two tablespoons vinegar, ½ cup water and three pounds beef ribs.

Mix brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, onion, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ¼ teaspoon salt and ¼ cup water in a saucepan over medium fire. Mix well and simmer for approximately 10 minutes. Add the remaining salt and stir. Place the ribs on a baking pan. Spread 1/3 of the sauce on the meat.

Set the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and preheat. Put the ribs in the oven and wait until the color of the meat turns light brown or after 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Pour the remaining sauce and ¼ cup of water over the ribs. Cover the baking pan and return to oven. Cook for another hour. If you want the meat to be rare done or medium done, check the meat every 20 minutes. You can tell that the meat is ready if its color becomes brown. Transfer the ribs on a clean plate. You can garnish it with sliced lemon or chopped parsley.
