1 cup prunes
2 cups baby carrots
1 medium sliced onion
1 sliced orange
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon orange juice
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
The first step on how to bake corned beef is to remove and discard the excess fat off the beef. After that soak your corned beef in water for about an hour. After an hour of soaking, rinse it and pat it dry. Take out a large heavy duty foil. Take out enough foil to wrap the whole beef brisket. Line a large enough roasting pan using this sheet of foil and then you place your beef in the lined pan.
Top your corned beef brisket with prunes, carrots, bay leaf, onions, and orange slices. Seal the foil and bake for three and a half hours at 350 degrees. After that, brush your corned beef with a mixture of orange juice and brown sugar and bake one last time for half an hour.

1 tablespoon mixed pickling spice, whole
1 stalk of celery
1 medium sized onion
1/2 cup sweet pickle juice
1 regular size carrot
1/3 cup firm brown sugar, packed
The first step on how to bake corned beef in spicy fashion is to wash your beef. Afterwards, place it in a large kettle and add boiling water. Add in your carrot, onion, celery, and spices. Cover the kettle and let it simmer from four to four and a half hours until the beef is tender.
Next, cool the beef and its broth. Put it in a roasting pan then score the fat layer with glaze. The glaze is made up of a combination of brown sugar and sweet pickle juice. Pour the rest of the pickle juice around the meat in the pan. Bake it for about an hour at 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Baste the beef from time to time as it cooks and then serve.
