How to Bake Salmon

Salmon is a marine species that is born in streams, rivers, ponds and lakes but it migrates to open water such as the ocean after some time. This seafood is healthy and nutritious because it has high vitamin D content. In addition, it is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids. One of the easiest cooking methods that can be used to prepare the fish is baking. Required Temperature and Time

The required temperature for baking salmon depends on the size of the fish. It usually takes 10 minutes to bake a salmon that is an inch thick. In terms of the required temperature, this seafood is usually baked in an oven that was preheated to 350 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Easy Baked Salmon

In this recipe, you need a salmon steak or fillet, ½ cup milk, ½ teaspoon, minced fresh dill, ½ teaspoon chopped chives or basil and ½ teaspoon salt. Wash the seafood and pat dry. Put it in a baking dish and pour in the milk until half of the seafood is immersed. Sprinkle with basil or chives and fresh dill. Set the oven to 350 degrees and preheat. Place the baking dish in the oven and cook for 20 minutes.

Baked Salmon Steak

If you want to offer a hearty and delectable dish, you can always try this recipe. The ingredients needed are four salmon steaks ¾ inch thick, ½ cup water, ½ cup dry white wine, ¼ cup melted butter, a tablespoon of lemon juice and ¼ teaspoon dried dill. Aside from these, you need ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper, a cup of stuffing mix and two tablespoons chopped parsley.

Wash the steaks in running water. Season with pepper and salt. Arrange the steaks in a baking dish. Mix wine and water in a bowl. Pour the wine mixture over the steaks. Mix the lemon juice, butter, parsley and stuffing in another bowl. Pour the butter mixture over the seafood. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the baking dish in the oven and cook for 20 minutes. Check every five minutes if the flesh of the steaks can be flaked easily. Remove from the oven and transfer on a clean plate. Best if served over a cup of rice.
